The winery was founded in 1901 by Don Leoncio Arizu, a descendant of a European family dedicated to wine that dates back to the XVIII century. Currently led by the 3rd and 4th generations, it is one of the few local wineries to remain in the hands of the founding family.The Arizus played a leading role in the local winemaking industry. They collaborated actively to create the Lujan de Cuyo Denomination of Origin (DO) appellation in 1989, first DO from Argentina, elevating this geographical area to a renowned wine-making region. Being present in more than 50 countries worldwide, the Arizu family has consistently worked on the search of the ultimate expression of Argentine wine, combining the European Heritage with the Argentine Passion.
