Oddero Poderi e Cantine is one of the oldest family properties in the Langhe hills for the production of Barolo: 1878 is the year of Oddero first bottle.Nowadays the estate is run by the fifth and the sixth generation: Giacomo Oddero with his daughters Mariavittoria and Mariacristina and his young grandchildren. The story of the estate currently possesses a feminine print, Mariacristina Oddero is winemaker and responsible for the production since 1997 vintage and she recently obtained the certification of organic growing practices in most every vineyard.

 

Oddero winery is located in La Morra, in the heart of the Barolo d.o.c.g. area. The company owns a total surface area of vineyards of around 35 hectares, of which 16.5 hectares are planted with Nebbiolo grapes for Barolo. The property is proud to count among its vineyards some of the best sôrì (sunny sites) of the Langhe: Vigna Rionda in Serralunga d’Alba; Brunate in La Morra; Mondoca di Bussia Soprana in Monforte d’Alba; Rocche di Castiglione, Fiasco and Villero in Castiglione Falletto, as well as Gallina inNeive, Bricco Chiesa and Roggeri in Santa Maria di La Morra and Collaretto in Serralunga d’Alba.
